French set of faience plates, made in the manufacture of Jules Vieillard and Compagnie in the late 19th century. This set of historized plates historiated plates retrace stages of the life of a couple seen in a romantic way and humoristic way: – the encounter during a walk (“Promenade”), – the escape of the couple when an obstacle stood in the way of the story of the two lovers (“Fuite”), – the duel that followed (“Duel”), – then the aging of the couple (“Premier cheveu blanc” : First white hair). Good condition. Dimension: 20/20/6 cm. Wear consistent with age and use.
