Jules Agard was the technical director of Madoura in Vallauris. It was therefore quite natural that Suzanne Ramié, founder of the studio, asked him to shoot the pieces that Pablo Picasso was going to paint. The collaboration of Agard and Picasso lasted 22 years. Beyond the technical aspect, it is a friendship and a beautiful complicity which developed between the two men, as testifies Dominique Sassi in his book “In the shadow of Picasso”.
This very large bottle, 60 cm high, reveals itself as a fresco to be browsed and discovered, like an allegory of the four seasons, with its budding trees or its wooden chalet, or its skier who seems to fly away.
