Solomon ” Sol ” LeWitt ( 1928 – 2007 ) was an American artist of a Russian Jewish background, linked to various movements, including Conceptual Art and Minimalism. LeWitt came to fame in the late 1960’s with his Wall Drawings and ” Structures ” but was prolific in a wide range of mediums including drawing, printmaking, photography, painting, installation, and artist’s books. Artworks by LeWitt have been the subject of hundreds of solo exhibitions in many of the most prestigious museums and galleries around the world since 1965.

One of the most important American artists of The 20th Century, Sol LeWitt spent decades creating artworks that explore the potential ideas for making visual forms. The rare out of print Modernist framed extra large format offset lithograph print measures 39 5/8″ W X 20″ H X 1″ D. It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern variegated dark charcoal gray black woodgrain style matte eggshell finish metal frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.

It is in excellent ” like new ” condition. The print is in excellent ” like new ” clean vintage condition consistent with age, very light signs of handling, and very light minor wear.
